SPECIALIZED SERVICES

What We Provide

Comprehensive Eye Exams

Every exam covers visual acuity, prescription refinement, eye-pressure testing, and a full ocular-health screening. Our doctors use modern instrumentation so problems like glaucoma or macular changes are caught early.

Contact-Lens Fittings & Evaluations

Whether your prescription is straightforward or complex, we measure corneal curvature and tear quality to match you with daily, extended-wear, or specialty lenses. Follow-up visits can fine-tune proper fit and ensure all-day comfort for long-term vision health.

Red Eye Emergency

If you are experiencing sudden redness, pain, discharge, or vision changes in one or both eyes, it may be a sign of an urgent condition that requires immediate attention. At Northlake Eyecare, our doctors are trained to evaluate and treat eye emergencies such as infections, injuries, foreign bodies, and allergic reactions.

Two Convenient Upstate Locations

We have offices in Anderson (3925 Pelham Rd ) and Greenville (3812 Liberty Hwy Ste 1), ensuring high-quality eye care is just a short drive away from wherever you live or work. Both clinics share the same records system, so follow-up is seamless if you switch locations.

Treatment for Eye Infections

From pink eye and styes to sudden irritation after yardwork, same-day care brings fast relief and prevents complications. We prescribe targeted medications and outline home-care steps so you’re back to normal quickly.

FAQ'S

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my first visit?

Your first appointment may take around 60 minutes and includes:

1. Health & Vision History – We review your medical background, current medications, and any vision concerns.

2. Pre-Test Screening – Digital measurements of eye pressure, corneal curvature, and retinal images help us spot early signs of disease.

3. Comprehensive Eye Exam – We will refine your prescription, evaluate eye-teamwork, and check for conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

4. Personalized Consultation – We explain results in plain language, answer questions, and discuss treatment or eyewear options.

5. Optical Styling (Optional) – Our opticians guide you through frame and lens choices or perform a contact-lens fitting if requested.

Are contact lenses safe to wear?

Yes—when prescribed and cared for properly. Modern lenses are made from highly breathable materials that keep eyes comfortable and oxygenated. Follow these guidelines:

1. Wear only lenses approved by your eye-care professional.

2. Stick to the recommended replacement schedule (daily, bi-weekly, monthly, etc.).

3. Wash and dry hands before handling lenses.

4. Use fresh solution every time and replace your case every three months.

5. Never sleep in lenses unless they’re specifically designed for overnight wear.

Adhering to these habits keeps the risk of infection extremely low.

What are the signs that I need an optometrist?

Schedule an exam if you experience:

1. Blurry vision at any distance

2. Frequent headaches or eye strain, especially after screen time

3. Difficulty seeing at night or halos around lights

4. Redness, dryness, itching, or excessive tearing

5. Sudden flashes, floaters, or loss of peripheral vision

6. If you have diabetes, high blood pressure, or a family history of eye disease

Even without symptoms, routine exams (every 1–2 years) can catch issues long before they affect sight.
